ANOMALITH Release Date: October 28, 2026
ANOMALITH launches October 28, 2026 on PC, PS5 and Switch 2, with a western PS5 disc on November 12. Bonus windows, demo details and PC specs.

Table of Contents
ANOMALITH releases on October 28, 2026. That is the date shown on the game's Steam store page and on the Nintendo Switch 2 store listing, which displays "Releases 10/28/26". A western physical PlayStation 5 edition follows on November 12, 2026.
Dates by platform and edition
| Platform / edition | Date | Where that date appears |
|---|---|---|
| PC (Steam) | October 28, 2026 | Steam store page release field |
| Nintendo Switch 2, digital | October 28, 2026 | Nintendo US store listing |
| PlayStation 5, Switch 2 and Steam, Japan time | October 29, 2026 | Gematsu's August 26, 2026 report on the publisher's announcement |
| PlayStation 5, physical, western release (distributed by NIS America) | November 12, 2026 | Same Gematsu report |
| PlayStation 5 physical and Switch 2 game-key card, Japan | Launch window | Same Gematsu report |
The Steam page also notes the game "plans to unlock in approximately 6 days" as of October 22, 2026, which lines up with the October 28 date.
Why you will see both October 28 and October 29
The two dates are one launch window read in two time zones. Steam and the Nintendo store show October 28 for buyers in the Americas, while the announcement carried by Gematsu dates the digital release to October 29 Japan time. The ANOMALITH community wiki makes the same point: the storefront display and the Japan-time date describe the same unlock, and it lists the pre-order bonus deadline as 11:59 p.m. JST. If you are planning a launch-day session, convert from JST rather than assuming your local store and a Japanese announcement disagree.

What ships on day one
- Digital: PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2.
- Physical: a PlayStation 5 disc in the west through NIS America, which the publisher priced at $59.99 in Gematsu's August 26, 2026 report, plus PlayStation 5 and a Switch 2 game-key card in Japan. A game-key card holds a download code rather than the full game on the card.
- Switch 2 file size: the Nintendo listing estimates 14.6 GB. The Steam page asks for 40 GB of space on PC, so the two builds are not the same footprint.
On October 22, 2026, the Nintendo store listing showed the Switch 2 digital version at $49.99 and noted that pre-loading is supported so the game is playable at release. The Steam store page showed no price on that same date.
Early purchase and pre-order windows
These are two separate offers with two separate cut-offs, which is the easiest thing to get wrong before launch.
| Storefront | Window | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Steam digital | October 29, 2026 to November 11, 2026 (JST) | Steam page bonus section |
| Nintendo Switch 2 pre-order | Purchase by 23:59 JST on October 28, 2026 | Nintendo store listing |
The Steam early purchase bundle contains a Lost Property Control Organization collaboration side mission called "Contradictory Otherworld Response", which you accept from the board in the Workshop once side missions unlock through story progress. Finishing that mission lets you claim the collaboration costume set and the probe skin "T-6407J" from the same Workshop board. The pack also includes a development materials set (2 Linked Tiles, 2 Advanced Surreal Firearm Parts, 2 Warning Pagers) that is granted after the Shooting Range becomes available.
The Nintendo pre-order bundle lists the same collaboration items plus a "Red Causal Punk" outfit and an "Anomaly Zone Diver Set (B)". Both storefronts state that these bonuses may be offered separately at a later date, so a missed window is not necessarily permanent.
For the paid add-ons themselves, the Digital Deluxe Edition bundles the base game with an 80-page digital art book, a mini-soundtrack selection, the three-set "Armed Schoolgirl" outfit combo, a semi-automatic sniper rifle, a double-barreled shotgun, a prototype handgun, and a consumables pack (3 medium sedatives, 3,000 OV, 30 sniper rounds, 30 shells, 40 handgun rounds, and a Power shooting chip). The western PS5 physical edition carries a partly different bonus list, including the "Blue Casual Punk" and "Delivery Staff" outfits.

The demo before launch
A demo is downloadable from the Steam page, and the developer's October 19, 2026 announcement confirms ANOMALITH took part in Steam Next Fest as its last pre-release event. Two practical notes from the developer's own update posts:
- The October 7, 2026 update lets you develop one of the three "Armed Schoolgirl" outfit sets after clearing the demo, so finishing the demo has a small payoff.
- The September 29, 2026 update added a "Survival" difficulty, mouse support for menus and inventory, mouse sensitivity options, expanded key rebinding, and shortcut use for healing items. If your demo impressions are older than that patch, some control complaints are already addressed.
The separate demo build is tracked by the community as Steam app 4682820, a detail recorded on the same community wiki from third-party SteamDB observation rather than a publisher statement, and that page treats demo availability as changeable. Whether demo saves carry into the full game is not confirmed there. Download state is best checked on the Steam store and its news feed rather than an older mirror.
PC requirements
| Component | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| OS | Windows 11 (64-bit) | Windows 11 (64-bit) |
| CPU | Intel Core i5-6600 / AMD Ryzen 5 2600 | Intel Core i5-10400 / AMD Ryzen 5 3600 |
| RAM | 12 GB | 16 GB |
| GPU | GeForce GTX 1050 Ti / Radeon RX 5500 XT | GeForce RTX 2060 / Radeon RX 5700 XT |
| DirectX | 11 | 11 |
| Storage | 40 GB | 40 GB |
Both columns require a 64-bit processor and operating system. Controller support covers Xbox pads and DualSense over USB only, per the Steam page. Steam Deck status is listed as "Unknown" on the Steam page as of October 22, 2026, so handheld performance is not something to promise yourself before launch.
Language and accessibility options
Interface and subtitles are available in English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and Korean; Japanese is the only full-audio language listed. The Steam page lists six accessibility features: adjustable difficulty, adjustable text size, subtitle options, custom volume controls, camera comfort and color alternatives. A separate fan-written release overview on the ANOMALITH fan wiki says the difficulty toggle scales enemy damage and item abundance, and that the volume sliders are split between voice, effects and music — useful context, though those specifics come from that fan write-up rather than a developer page.
Who is making it
The Steam page credits scenario writer Romeo Tanaka, character designer MON and composer Yuka Kitamura. Gematsu's release report adds the wider credits: Tanaka worked on Stella of the End and Humanity Has Declined, MON on Nisio Isin's Legends series, and Kitamura on Elden Ring, Sekiro, Bloodborne, Dark Souls III and Witch Hat Atelier. One caution: the NIS America overview quoted in that August report describes a different framing of the story (a decade-long sleep inside an anomaly called the "Sarcophagus", a "Demi-Humanization System") from the mall incident and Anomalization Skills described on the current Steam page. Treat the store text as the current wording.
What the gameplay footage shows
The official gameplay overview trailer is framed as a training briefing and is the most concrete pre-release look at systems:
- A scan mode highlights nearby anomalous objects and anomalies and gets stronger as you close in; it can stay active while you move and fight.
- Firearms are the only primary weapons — handguns, submachine guns, shotguns — and recovered objects feed weapon development, ammunition production and nine equipment slots.
- Crystals on an anomaly's surface can be broken for artifacts, which grant passive effects when equipped before a dive.
- Anomalization Skills come in attack, defense and range categories, with nine confirmed in the footage, and can be upgraded with anomalous objects. Melee does nothing except against staggered enemies.
The official release date trailer carries no spoken detail beyond music cues, so it adds no scheduling information.

FAQ
What is the ANOMALITH release date?
October 28, 2026 for the digital release shown on Steam and the Nintendo Switch 2 store. Japanese-time announcements date the same launch to October 29, and the western PlayStation 5 disc arrives November 12, 2026.
Which platforms can I buy ANOMALITH on at launch?
PC via Steam, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 all have dated listings for the October launch. Xbox consoles do not appear on the Steam, Nintendo or Gematsu release information reviewed here, so there is no dated Xbox version to plan around.
When does the early purchase bonus expire?
On Steam the window runs October 29 to November 11, 2026 (JST). The Nintendo Switch 2 pre-order bonus has an earlier cut-off: purchase by 23:59 JST on October 28, 2026.
Does demo progress carry into the full game?
That has not been confirmed. The demo itself is a separate build, and the community notes on the ANOMALITH fan wiki list save transfer as unknown, so plan on starting fresh unless the developer says otherwise closer to launch.
