ANOMALITH Demo Walkthrough: Route, Tips and Boss Prep
A practical route through the ANOMALITH demo: tutorial, Kirishima Central Hospital, Workshop upgrades, boss prep and what carries over.

Table of Contents
The ANOMALITH demo is short and linear in shape: a tutorial, then a single dive into the Kirishima Central Hospital, ending on a boss after roughly two hours. The useful walkthrough is therefore less about secret routes and more about the order of the loop — clear rooms, bank materials, spend them in the Workshop, then take the boss seriously.
Before your first dive
The demo is a free download from the official Steam page, where the listing carries a Download ANOMALITH Demo button. Automaton Media's demo impressions note the demo arrived on PC in July and later reached consoles, with a free version available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2. The Steam listing itself shows Windows.
Two practical notes:
- Controls changed during the demo period. A 29 September 2026 update added a Survival difficulty, mouse support across menus and inventory, wider key rebinding, mouse sensitivity options and shortcut-based healing. Older footage may show different bindings.
- The listed specs are for the full game, not a measured demo footprint. They are still the sensible baseline.

The demo route, stage by stage
| Stage | Where you are | What to do | How you know it worked |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Tutorial | Follow the prompts; learn movement, aiming, weapon swapping and the item case | The dive into the hospital begins |
| 2 | Kirishima Central Hospital | Explore branching corridors, clear rooms that lock behind you, pick up gear and materials | The exit door unlocks once the room's Anomalies are down |
| 3 | Portal checkpoints | Push crafting materials back to the Countermeasures Office hub | Your storage case has free slots again |
| 4 | Workshop (hub) | Spend currency and retrieved objects on weapons, parts, skins, outfits and skills | New gear and upgrades become available to equip |
| 5 | Boss arena | Fight the final encounter with the loadout you built | The demo clear triggers, and the hospital reopens for farming |
Stage 1 — the tutorial
Automaton describes the opening as a brief tutorial before the hospital dive. It is the slowest part of the demo: one full playthrough video calls it "a little boring" before warming to the game once the level opens up. Treat it as a control primer rather than a preview of pacing, and pay attention to the weapon-swap and consumable shortcut prompts, because the hospital assumes you know them.
Stage 2 — the Kirishima Central Hospital
This is the whole playable space, and it is more open than the tutorial suggests. Automaton notes that the hospital has enough branching corridors to reward exploring, and that opening the in-game map immediately reveals which paths are dead ends — useful if you want to sweep every side room, slightly spoilery if you value the disorientation.
Rooms work in a predictable pattern: you enter, the exits seal, Anomalies spawn, and the way forward opens when the last of them is down. Encounter spacing is deliberate, so the rhythm alternates between exploration and set-piece fights rather than constant combat.
Loot handling follows the same survival-shooter logic. Items land in a limited storage case, and portal checkpoints scattered through the hospital let you send crafting materials back to the hub so you are not choosing between a weapon part and ammo.
Stage 3 — the Workshop
The hub Workshop is where the demo's progression actually lives. Using currency and items gathered on the dive, you unlock and upgrade weapons, custom parts, gun skins, outfits and skills. A locked skill tree visible there is a clear signal that the retail game expands the melee and customisation side well beyond what the demo offers.
One concrete reward: the 7 October 2026 update made it so that clearing the demo unlocks development of one of the three "Armed Schoolgirl" outfit sets that otherwise ship with the Digital Deluxe Edition.
Stage 4 — the final boss
Automaton's summary of the climax is the most useful preparation: it "enforces proper resource management and pattern recognition," and the fight rewards matching the right weapon to each situation rather than a single dominant gun. Players with different loadouts will get different mileage, so experiment rather than copying a fixed setup.
A PS5 Pro first-look video and the full playthrough both show the boss as a multi-stage fight where reading tells matters more than damage racing. The same playthrough notes that shooting glowing crystal-like growths on enemies knocks resources loose, and that grenades are worth saving for the arena rather than trash fights.
The studio's own milestone post refers to "Bleicher Geist" being defeated more than 50,000 times across demo sessions — a reminder that the wall is meant to be climbed, not a filter.
Combat habits that carry the run
| Situation | What works | Why |
|---|---|---|
| A shambling Anomaly closes in | Back off while firing; take the free melee only after a critical stun | Automaton notes a passive melee follow-up on stunned enemies, but melee is thin in the demo |
| You see a glowing or crystalline body part | Aim for it | Damaging those spots drops ammo and materials |
| A room seals and spawns enemies | Clear them all before hunting the exit | Doors stay shut until the room is done |
| The case is full | Route through a portal checkpoint | Materials go to the hub and free inventory space |
Two more observations from playthroughs: abilities draw on a separate gauge that one player reported refilling at the cost of health, so defensive skill use has a real price; and a successful parry followed by a shot appeared to restore that gauge, though the player was inferring rather than reading a tutorial. Treat both as player readings of the UI.

What does not carry over
Your demo save does not transfer to the retail game, per Automaton Media. The exception is cosmetic development: an outfit set you work on during the demo can be used in the final release, which lines up with the official note about developing an Armed Schoolgirl set after clearing.
The full game launches 28 October 2026, and the Steam page confirms the free demo stays listed alongside it.
A caution about circulating "Act" walkthroughs
One fan wiki, anomalith-wiki.wiki, presents a three-act route with a "Resonance Tether," a "Prism Lock" puzzle and a "Prime Anomalith" finale, plus a set of named enemy archetypes. None of that vocabulary appears in the demo material reviewed here — Automaton's impressions describe a tutorial plus a hospital dive, and the page in question also credits Marvelous as the developer where Steam lists FURYU CORPORATION and Winning Entertainment Group. Treat that route as unverified community material rather than a demo walkthrough.

FAQ
Where does an ANOMALITH demo walkthrough actually begin?
In the tutorial, then the Kirishima Central Hospital dive. That single dive plus the hub Workshop is the whole demo, and it runs around two hours according to Automaton Media.
Where can I download the ANOMALITH demo?
From the official Steam page, which has a demo download button on the listing. Automaton reports the free demo also reached PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2.
Does demo progress carry over to the full game?
No — Automaton Media reports that demo saves do not transfer. An outfit set developed during the demo can be carried into the retail release.
Can I keep playing after beating the demo's boss?
Yes. Defeating the final boss lets you return to the hospital to gather more resources, which is the practical way to finish Workshop upgrades before the demo ends.
